An advisory council with five independent experts to accelerate the growth of Zerintia HealthTech.

Zerintia HealthTech has appointed an advisory council to provide guidance to the leadership in making decisions to accelerate growth and enhance the company’s competitiveness in a rapidly expanding sector. The council is composed of five independent experts with a high level of professional and academic profile, including María Vila, Pablo Collera, Jaume Raventós, Germán Alcayde, and Álvaro Fernández de Araoz. All of them have extensive experience in the healthcare sector, medical technology, and consulting.

María Vila

“María Vila served as the General Manager of Medtronic in Spain and Portugal from 2017, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of Medtronic in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). She previously held various executive positions, including leading the largest company integration in the Medical Technology industry in Europe (MedtronicCovidien). She has been the President of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN), a member of the Healthcare Chapter Board at IESE, and of the Healthcare groups at the College of Entrepreneurs and the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain. She also worked at PwC and KPMG in the Corporate Finance and Audit divisions, respectively. Vila holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a postgraduate degree in Finance from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and has completed an Executive Program in Business Management (PADE) at IESE.”

Pablo Collera

Pablo Collera, a specialist in general and digestive system surgery, serves as the Head of the General and Digestive Surgery Department at Althaia Xarxa Assistencial. He is an Associate Professor at UVIC-UCC and the Vice President of the Catalan Society of Surgery. He is also a member of the Spanish Association of Surgeons and the European Society of Coloproctology. With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra, over the course of his career, he has combined clinical practice with teaching, coordinating various subjects at the School of Podiatry affiliated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona and serving as a medical practice tutor at the International University of Catalonia. He has authored numerous medical articles in national and international scientific journals and has acted as a speaker at medical conferences.”

Jaume Raventós

Jaume Raventós has accumulated more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive and C-Level professional in the public and private healthcare sector, with a proven track record in hospital and business management. Since 2018, he has served as the CEO of Korian Group Spain – ITA Salud Mental and, as of 2023, he has been the President of Korian Group Spain. He is also the Vice President of the Digital Health Association of Spain (ASD), a trustee of the Signo Foundation, and a member of the Board of the Catalan Society of Healthcare Management. Previously, he held positions including CEO at Vall d’Hebron Hospital (Barcelona), CEO at Hospital del Mar (Barcelona), and CEO of the Public Consortium of Health and Social Services of the Government of Catalonia. He also served as the eHealth Director at Telefónica España and as the General Director of Catalonia and Global Leader of Digital Transformation for the Quirón Group. Raventós holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and an MBA from the EADA Business School (Barcelona, Spain).

Germán Alcayde

Germán Alcayde is the CEO of the international consultancy firm Atlantic Business Consulting and a board member at HVR Energy. He has held executive positions in multinational companies such as Signium, Michael Page International Spain, Arval (BNP PARIBAS), and AC Hotels by Marriott. In the public sector, he served as the Director General of Education for the Government of Madrid, a deputy in the Parliament of Madrid, and the Chief of Staff to the former Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar. He holds a degree in Business and Tourism Sciences and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa.

Álvaro Fernández de Araoz

Álvaro Fernández de Araoz has over 25 years of international executive experience in strategic consulting, telco, digital health, cybersecurity, and digital industry. He is the founder and current CEO of Correcta (a cybersecurity company). Previously, he has held positions as a strategy consultant at Deloitte, eHealth director at Telefónica Spain, operational partner at Private Equity Found, CMO at 4iQ, and advisor at DLTCode, among others. Fernández de Araoz holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Boston (USA) and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands). He is certified in ISO 27001 and GDPR Consulting.
