On the upcoming Wednesday, November 15th, Zerintia HealthTech, a Spanish digital health company, will establish a real-time connection from its booth at Medica 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany—the world’s most significant trade fair for medical technology—to a surgery taking place at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Manresa – Althaia Foundation (Catalonia, Spain).
The surgery, involving the “resection of the large intestine for tumor removal,” is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and will be performed by Dr. Pablo Collera and his gastrointestinal surgery team. César Rodríguez, CEO of Zerintia HealthTech, explained, “we will have the opportunity to see in real-time the functionalities of our 4RemoteHealth platform by connecting as an external expert from the Medica booth in Düsseldorf to the operating room where the procedure will take place, with various medical equipment connected.” The surgeon will also discuss the use cases being implemented at the hospital using the 4RemoteHealth platform.
Zerintia HealthTech is participating for the first time in Medica 2023, taking place from November 13th to 16th. The Spanish digital health company will showcase 4RemoteHealth, its real-time remote collaboration platform for healthcare professionals. Attendees at the event will have the chance to experience firsthand the user-friendly interface and advanced features of 4RemoteHealth. The software platform developed by Zerintia HealthTech enables remote real-time collaboration and interaction among medical professionals, leveraging augmented reality to share signals from existing clinical devices, as well as voice, image, and video, in various complex clinical environments such as operating rooms, ICUs, ambulances, or emergency departments.
Zerintia HealthTech’s technology has been in use since 2020 in Spain by clients in the medical equipment industry, private and public healthcare entities. Currently, the company is expanding its operations to other regions, including Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and India.
Medica 2023, the world’s largest B2B medical trade fair, will bring together over 4,500 exhibitors from 66 countries at the Düsseldorf trade fairgrounds, expecting the attendance of more than 81,000 visitors worldwide.
