4RemoteHealth is used by the telemedicine service, supporting Neurosurgery and General Surgery procedures.

Zerintia HealthTech strengthens its position as a technology partner for the Armed Forces. The Ministry of Defense has renewed its agreement with Zerintia HealthTech to continue using the 4RemoteHealth platform at the Central Defense Hospital ‘Gómez Ulla’. This renewal extends the partnership for another year, reaffirming the hospital’s reliance on the Spanish digital health company’s innovative solution for real-time remote collaboration among healthcare professionals.

4RemoteHealth is employed in operating rooms, supporting the work of Neurosurgery and General Surgery teams at Gómez Ulla. The platform operates under a SaaS (Software as a Service) subscription model, offering flexible and scalable access that aligns perfectly with the needs of military organizations. This model facilitates the adoption of new technologies while optimizing resources.

The software platform enables medical professionals at Gómez Ulla to collaborate and interact remotely, sharing signals from existing medical devices in operating rooms, such as surgical imaging systems, endoscopes, and patient monitors. The high-quality communication and imaging capabilities are especially valuable in managing complex procedures across environments like operating rooms, ICUs, ambulances, and emergency departments.

Beyond clinical applications, Gómez Ulla leverages 4RemoteHealth to enhance its educational capabilities. Medical students from the University of Alcalá de Henares and residents in surgical specialties benefit from interactive participation in educational surgeries without increasing the risk of infection.

The Gómez Ulla Hospital serves approximately 300 inpatients and handles an average of 1,000 outpatient consultations daily, including 250-300 emergencies and 40-60 pediatric cases, along with nearly 200 surgical interventions. Its exceptional clinical activity, combined with its robust teaching programs (32 accredited units training 120 residents), places Gómez Ulla on par with the best hospitals in its category. Furthermore, the hospital is a national reference center for high-risk infectious diseases, serving 11 autonomous communities.
