The Spanish digital health company enhances collaboration for telemedicine services in critical environments with its software update

Zerintia HealthTech enhances 4RemoteHealth with 16 new features. The Spanish digital health company launches a new version of its platform that connects healthcare professionals, incorporating innovations that improve connectivity, device integration, and user experience.

The software update introduces advanced integration with the DICOM viewer, IP cameras, a configurable grid mode, more interactive webinar settings, optimized smart glasses usability, a low-bandwidth mode, enhanced video source management, and broader device compatibility.

The new version of 4RemoteHealth includes advanced integration with IP cameras, allowing for more efficient video management in operating rooms and other clinical settings. Thanks to compatibility with the RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol), users can easily connect IP cameras and stream high-quality video in real time. This feature facilitates remote supervision, improves image quality, and ensures compatibility with multiple devices.

One of the most notable new features is the DICOM viewer, an advanced tool that enables users to view and work directly online with medical images in DICOM format (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine), a standard widely used in the healthcare sector for handling and storing medical imaging such as X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans. Thanks to this integration, healthcare professionals can upload clinical evidence and use a range of tools to enhance image analysis — including opacity and contrast adjustment, measurement tools, annotations, and transparency editing — all without leaving the platform. This feature enables more efficient and detailed work in patient care and monitoring.

The update also introduces a new Configurable Grid Mode, a feature that provides greater flexibility in video distribution during a session. Users can personalize the layout of video feeds horizontally or vertically, adjust their sizes, and apply tools over the main source without limitations. With drag & drop functionality, video streams can be rearranged in real time, optimizing visualization according to the needs of the medical procedure.

The updated version of 4RemoteHealth includes a low-bandwidth mode for Android, designed to improve video call performance in poor network conditions. This feature automatically adjusts video and audio quality to maintain a smooth connection, even in unstable environments. It also offers a manual adjustment option, allowing users to customize performance based on their needs and ensuring communication remains uninterrupted regardless of network quality.

The platform now supports better management of video sources and connected devices. It allows the shared screen to remain as an additional video input during a session, alongside other signals, for a more complete view. Additionally, it introduces a slave camera feature, enabling users to add smart glasses or a smartphone as a secondary video source — offering greater flexibility and more options for real-time image sharing during clinical sessions.

Webinars, smart glasses, calendar, and accessibility

Among the new features is improved interaction during webinars, allowing participants to temporarily activate their audio for specific interventions. The platform also includes the ability to assign moderator roles, giving selected users greater control over the session — such as managing participant access and moderating interactions — to ensure more fluid and dynamic communication during presentations and training.

The experience with smart glasses has also been optimized. The call interface is now simpler and more accessible, designed to improve usability in medical settings. This enhancement offers a more intuitive experience, allowing users to manage calls and visuals efficiently directly from their smart glasses. Key functions — such as joining a call, muting/unmuting audio or video, or sharing the screen — are now accessible with a single click.

Calendar integration has also been improved in the new version of 4RemoteHealth. Calendar invitations now include a direct link to join the session with one click. The app also features a new, more intuitive calendar interface, streamlining the management of appointments and reminders. In addition, users can now select their preferred language and toggle between light and dark mode, tailoring the platform to their personal preferences.

4RemoteHealth now includes enhanced accessibility and group session management features. A new help website makes it easy to join sessions directly via browser or download the app from official stores. The platform also allows for simultaneous line reservations for group sessions, ensuring availability and efficient resource management so that all participants can join without interruption.
