The 4RemoteHealth platform enabled this training to be conducted online for the first time, offering a total of 15 hours of training.

Zerintia HealthTech made possible the first online edition of the 4th Regional Interventional Pulmonology Course at San Juan de Dios Hospital in Tenerife. Through its 4RemoteHealth platform, the Spanish digital health company facilitated real-time, remote interaction among the medical professionals participating in the training sessions. Pulmonology specialists and residents in pulmonology and thoracic surgery were able to follow and actively participate in the course sessions remotely, which spanned over 15 hours across two days.

The program, held on October 3rd and 4th, 2024, and organized by Dr. Aurelio Luis Wangüemert Pérez, was designed to update professionals on the most advanced techniques in interventional pulmonology. With an average of 20 attendees per session, the training offered a personalized learning experience where doctors interacted in real-time with speakers and colleagues.

In total, professionals benefited from more than 15 hours of specialized training focused on interventional techniques, such as advanced bronchoscopies and lung biopsies. Through 4RemoteHealth, participants remotely accessed live interventions, engaged in real-time discussions with instructors, and collaborated in case study discussions.

Interventional pulmonology is a critical branch of pulmonology for diagnosing and treating various respiratory diseases. Similarly, lung ultrasound is increasingly being used and has become an indispensable tool for pulmonologists. It is essential to acquire interventional skills in pleuro-pulmonary procedures using today’s available techniques. Both respiratory endoscopies and pleuro-pulmonary interventions require adequate training in lung ultrasound and interventional procedures.

The 4th Regional Interventional Pulmonology Course was organized by San Juan de Dios Hospital in Tenerife and the Canary Association of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery, with scientific recognition from the Spanish Association of Respiratory Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology.
