Zerintia HealthTech welcomes María Vila, former General Manager of Medtronic in Spain, to its Board of Directors

Vila’s arrival to the Board will reinforce the executive direction of the Spanish digital health company and give a greater boost to its development

Zerintia HealthTech welcomes María Vila, former General Manager of Medtronic in Spain and Portugal and former President of the Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies (Fenin), to its Board of Directors. Vila joins the board of the Spanish digital health company as a proprietary director, adding this role to her current position as a member of the Advisory Board.

A professional with 30 years of experience, Vila is an independent director and senior advisor in various companies and associations. She has spent most of her career as an executive in the health technology sector, combining roles such as CEO, CFO, and Chief Integration Officer. She joined Medtronic in 2003, becoming the General Manager in Spain and Portugal from 2017 to 2023, as well as a member of Medtronic’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Management Committee, after leading the largest integration of companies in the medical technology industry in Europe (Medtronic-Covidien).

Before joining Medtronic, Vila worked as an auditor and consultant at KPMG and PwC. She holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and is an Auditor registered with the Official Registry of Accounts of Spain (ROAC). Vila has completed Corporate Governance and Senior Management programs at ESADE and IESE.

With María Vila joining its Board of Directors, Zerintia HealthTech strengthens its structure to drive growth and face the coming years, which will be crucial for making its 4RemoteHealth platform the leading solution for connecting high-complexity healthcare environments. As a recognized professional with in-depth knowledge of the digital health world, Vila will guide the strategy, provide expert advice, and support high-level decision-making.
